Mick Eddy
Co-founder of Ethos
Mick Eddy is a General Partner and Co-Founder of Ethos. Mick was an early employee at ODG, a pioneer Augmented Reality company. After helping scale the business through multiple enterprise engagements and fundraising rounds, the company sold its core IP to Microsoft for $150M.
After ODG, Mick made over 20 angel investments out of Night Owl Ventures. As his operation and deal flow grew, he incorporated Ethos in 2020.
Mick graduated from the University of Southern California and studied at the London School of Economics. Mick serves as an advisor and mentor to numerous companies and currently resides in San Francisco.
Justin Ho
Partner
Justin Ho is the former co-founder and CEO of rideOS, an enterprise software co powering mobility-as-a-service technologies for a variety of dispatch, optimization, and routing use cases. rideOS raised $34M of capital from Sequoia and next47, before Gopuff acquired rideOS for ~$175M. At Gopuff, the inventor of the instant needs category, Justin led a team of ~150 technologists to build products to serve Gopuff’s delivery partners, operations associates, and increase the company’s profitability.
Prior to rideOS, Justin led the ideation and creation of Uber’s self-driving and mapping business units. Justin has also worked for Citadel as an investor, managing a $1B long/short equity portfolio focusing on transportation and automotive stocks, and at Goldman as an investment banker.
Justin is passionate about doing good through serving people, and is actively advising other entrepreneurs and investing in start-ups at every stage of growth. He serves as an advisor for Humanity Forward, a non-profit bipartisan org to address our nation’s biggest problems, the USC Credit Union, Justin and his wife Melody are avid musicians, serving the community through playing violin and cello for Reality San Francisco.
Anthony Zepponi
Investor
Anthony joined Ethos in 2021 and focuses on investing across early to late-stage businesses. Prior to joining Ethos, Anthony worked at ICONIQ Capital – a premier growth-stage tech VC with investments including Datadog, Zoom, Robinhood, Uber, Airbnb, Snowflake, Crowdstrike and Procore amongst others.
Before ICONIQ, Anthony worked as a valuation consultant at Frank, Rimerman + Co. – an accounting and consulting firm specializing in venture capital, where he was primarily focused on early to pre-IPO stage startups in B2B SaaS, as well as numerous other industries in technology and beyond. Anthony also worked as an investment management associate at an RIA acquired by First Republic.
Anthony graduated with a BA in Economics and English from Occidental College, where he was the captain of the rugby team and was a mentor for Play Rugby USA, a non-profit focused on developing youth through rugby. Anthony currently sits on the St. Anthony’s Young Professionals Council in San Francisco, where volunteers to help combat the crisis facing the most vulnerable population in the city.
Phil Taylor
Investor
Phil Taylor joins Ethos as an investor and GTM advisor for portfolio companies. He brings eight years of experience alternating between startups ranging from seed (pre-PMF), to growth stage enterprise SaaS companies, to enterprise at Microsoft.
As the first revenue hire at an HR-analytics startup, he helped the company raise their series A and landed their first enterprise contracts with companies like Novartis and PG&E. At Microsoft, he managed strategic partnerships with companies like SAP, Adobe, and Asana. He led various initiatives including product integrations, co-marketing efforts, M&A prospectus, and strategic Cloud alliances. He also brings corporate development experience from Guru, where he led channel & product partnerships and strategic initiatives.
While at M12 - Microsoft's Venture Fund, he assisted with deal sourcing and diligence, partnership efforts with early-stage focused VCs, and executive connections for VC partner portfolio companies.
He is incredibly passionate about enterprise productivity, developer and infrastructure tools, and what the future holds for the intersection of AI in these spaces.
Kate Reilly
Chief Operating Officer
Kate Reilly is a seasoned operations and marketing professional, whose 28 years of experience lends tremendous value to private fund managers as they deliver attractive and unique investment opportunities to high-net-worth individuals and institutional investors.
Kate serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Ethos. She provides leadership, vision and compliance to the strategic planning process, stimulates new ideas, and evaluates the financial impact of new business opportunities. Kate works closely with the Ethos Executive Team and trusted 3rd party providers to oversee the venture fund operations and investor relations, policies and work flows. She is relied upon to propose streamlined and effective ways of doing business to minimize risk, improve operational efficiencies and financial results, and provide transparency to investors.
Previously, Kate served as Chief Operating Officer at PPB Capital Partners LLC and was instrumental in the firm’s success. With the firm since its inception in 2007, she was an integral and driving force in the development and growth of PPB’s multi billion dollar alternative, hedge fund and private equity funds platform.
In her free time, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband and son (much of which is spent on the lacrosse and soccer fields). Kate is an avid tennis player, golfer and yogi.
John Andreini
Co-founder of ethos
John is a co-founder of ethos. Prior investments include Spotify, Alector, Virgin America, and Palantir, all of which went public. Prior to Ethos, John served as a GP of both private equity, and other venture capital funds.
John has a wonderful wife and 3 kids. In addition to spending time with them, he enjoys bike riding, golfing, and mountain towns.
Glenn Myles
Partner, Strategic Advisor
Glenn Myles is a prominent figure in the financial community, boasting a remarkable 35-year track record during which he spearheaded close to $35 billion in transactions across various roles as an investor, principal, and trusted advisor. His influence extends across diverse sectors, including Real Estate, GreenTech, Energy, Bio Medical, Media Tech, and Sports and entertainment. Glenn has fostered strategic partnerships with some of the world's most influential and affluent families, exemplified by collaborations with prominent names such as the Pritzker, Davis, Greenberg, Cargill , Kalikow and Koch. He has simulate relationships with the financial institutions world, with notables such as Fortress Investments, AIG, CV Starr, Bank of America, EDF Man, just to highlight a few. Glenn has created significant relationships in Asia as well as the Middle East.
Complementing his impactful business endeavors, Glenn exhibits a deep commitment to philanthropy. Through the years, he has diligently co-hosted the Michael Milken Cancer Foundation's annual Hamptons gala fundraiser and contributed his expertise as a board member to several notable organizations, including The Prostate Cancer Foundation, The Grameen Foundation, Planet Finance, Project Hope, Walt Frazier Youth Foundation, and the March of Dimes. His involvement extends further as a former member of the Young Presidents Organization and director of the Fairchild Corporation.
